Black Horse at Hatchet Ranch is a 40-acre parcel located in Pueblo County’s quiet, unspoiled ranch country, and would make an ideal horse property, hobby ranch, or residential ranch property. Close to its entrance at its southwest corner, the property features gently rolling topography, with numerous potential building sites close to utility connections at the property line. Deeper into the property, the landscape gently descends to a nearly hidden canyon, then ascends again to hilltops offering some of the best mountain and plains views in the region. The majority of the property lies to the north, occupying a scenic valley with a level to gently rolling landscape that would be perfect as pasture and horseback riding space. Multiple stream beds cross the property, and will occasionally carry live water. This buildable parcel is easily accessed year-round, offers end-of-the-road privacy, and already has power (San Isabel Electric), phone service (Rye Telephone), and fiber-optic (Rye Telephone) at the property line. The property meets the acreage requirement for a domestic well permit; on construction, neighboring wells produced an astounding 20-30 gpm. The recreational opportunities offered by the San Isabel National Forest, the Arkansas River, and Lake Pueblo are within easy reach. The small town of Colorado City is just 9 miles away; Pueblo is 21 miles north; and the Colorado Springs airport is 65 miles north, generally well under a 1-hour drive via I-25.
